Reed Darsey

Reed Darsey

Reed is a Meridian native and joined Glover, Young, Walton & Simmons in October of 2009. Reed graduated from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas, in 2004 with degrees in business marketing and history. Prior to law school, Reed worked as an agent for a large commercial real estate company in Northwest Florida, and he is currently a licensed sales associate in Florida. Reed returned to Mississippi and earned his Juris Doctor degree from Mississippi College School of Law in 2008.

Prior to working with Glover, Young, Walton & Simmons, Reed clerked for various Mississippi judges on both the trial and appellate levels. Most recently, he clerked for the Honorable Lester F. Williamson, Jr., of the Tenth Judicial Circuit Court. While clerking for Judge Williamson, Reed was exposed to a wide variety of legal issues, including products liability, wrongful death, medical malpractice, employment security, and eminent domain.

Coupling a strong business background with his experiences in the Mississippi Judiciary, Reed has begun to build a strong foundation for a practice in general civil litigation. It is Reed’s intention to continue to build his practice with Glover, Young, Walton & Simmons and become an integral part of the Meridian legal community.
Reed is the current treasurer of the Lauderdale County Bar Association and is a member of the American and Mississippi bar associations. He is a member of the local Kiwanis Club, the Young Professionals of Meridian, and the Mississippi Young Lawyers Association.

Reed’s wife, the former Elizabeth Rhae Randall of Demopolis, Alabama, is also a practicing attorney in Meridian.

Coupling a strong business background with his experiences in the Mississippi Judiciary, Reed has begun to build a strong foundation for a practice in general civil litigation.
