William W. Simmons
Will Simmons is a Meridian native and has been with Glover, Young, Walton & Simmons since 2002. Prior to working with Glover, Young, Walton & Simmons, Will practiced in Gulfport, Mississippi, for almost four years. Will graduated from Millsaps College and double majored in business and history. He received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Mississippi in 1998. While in law school, he was a member of Phi Delta Phi and the Moot Court Board. Will’s practice focuses primarily on civil litigation on the defense side. He has trial and appellate experience in state and federal courts. A partial listing of the types of cases which Will has litigated include: medical malpractice, construction-contract disputes, bad-faith claims against insurers, motor vehicle collisions, and real-property disputes. Will has served as the secretary and is currently the vice president of the Lauderdale County Bar Association. He has served on the Board of Directors for the Young Lawyers Division of The Mississippi Bar. He is a member of the American Bar Association and the Mississippi Defense Lawyers Association. Will is a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church. He has served on the vestry of his church and currently works on several committees. Will also serves as counsel for State Games of Mississippi.He has served as the president of the Board of Trustees of Care Lodge Domestic Violence Shelter and is currently on the board of Hope Village for Children. In his free time, he enjoys golf, reading, and hunting. Will’s wife, the former Edie King of Birmingham, is a teacher with Meridian Public Schools. They have two daughters, Cate and Lucy. Will’s practice focuses primarily on civil litigation on the defense side. He has trial and appellate experience in state and federal courts.<< Back |
